Lesson's From The Orchard

🌳 Lessons from the Orchard

There was a time when I thought the orchard was simply a place to escape.

As a little girl, I wandered beneath the pecan trees whenever life became too heavy. They never asked questions. They never judged my silence. They simply stood... offering shade, stillness, and a place where I could breathe.

I didn't realize then that God was already teaching me.

Years later, I began looking at those same trees with different eyes.

I noticed their roots, their scars, their seasons, their resilience, and the quiet strength that allowed them to keep standing after storms had passed. What I once saw as ordinary trees became extraordinary teachers.

The more I watched them, the more I realized they were telling a story that sounded remarkably familiar.

A story about hidden growth.

About storms.

About waiting.

About pruning.

About seasons that appeared lifeless but were quietly preparing for new life.

And perhaps the lesson that changed me the most...

Roots don't choose their soil.

Neither do we.

Yet the condition of the soil is never the end of the story.

The Gardener is.

Over the next several weeks, I'd like to invite you into the orchard with me.

Together, we'll look beyond what can be seen and discover the quiet lessons God has woven into His creation—lessons about healing, hope, resilience, and the unseen work He so often does beneath the surface.

The orchard has been waiting for us.

So... before we admire the fruit...

Before we focus on what everyone else can see...

Let's begin where every tree begins...

Beneath the surface.
